I came to visit my esthetician Giselle because my skin was long overdue for some much needed TLC! I hadn’t seen her since January and my skin was looking rather dull and lackluster. I also wanted to address some hyperpigmentation concerns from past breakouts

Giselle recommended we go easy since I hadn’t seen her in some time. She went for a gentler facial to prep my skin and on my next visit we would try something more intense. She performed a Lemon Zest peel, Dermaplaining, and extractions

The Facial

The Lemon Zest Enzyme peel exfoliates and brightens the skin. It contains arbutin, lactic acid, glycolic acid, and kojic acid. It is designed for normal/dry skin with pigmentation. This peel also promotes deep hydration that protects the skin from environmental damage while relieving the surface signs of aging. Arbutin and kojic acid also have lightening properties

What is Dermaplaining?

Dermaplaining is an exfoliating procedure that uses a surgical scalpel to gently scrape the outermost layer of the skin. It helps get rid of dead skin, peach fuzz, makes the skin smoother, allows makeup to apply better, and skin care products to absorb easier into the skin

Giselle then finished off the facial with extractions where she used an instrument to extract any impurities that may be clogging my skin

My skin felt so smooth and exfoliated immediately after! Look at that glow✨  Giselle said that I would gently peel for a few days and gave me some follow up instructions on how to care for my skin

I will definitely come back in a few weeks for a Microneedling treatment which is one of my favorite procedures! I’ll be sure to share my experience and results in another post!

Giselle is amazing and has extensive knowledge of the skin including ethic skin tones which is very important to me since I have darker skin. She also specializes in treating acne for those suffering from extreme breakouts and provides many other skincare services. I highly recommend her! To book Giselle you may do so online here
